Hi, I am Herb Silverman. I am a blogger, networker, advocate, author, leader, just to name a few. But more than that, I am optimistic and positive in my life and scope; in other words, for me and my experiences, it’s life lessons learned.
For this reason, I explore change and viewpoints, squarely focused on areas of:
To put it differently, I blend my inner thinking and one-of-a-kind insight to be positive.
(By the way, my monthly emails will show you how to change your perspective and upbeat each and every time, subscribe today.)
Beyond that, as a guest speaker, I share my personal story and leverage the force of insightful ideas. With my distinctive voice and acute sense of humor, I am able to educate, inform and inspire any audience. Drawing from years of personal experience, I teach how to harness the power of positive thinking to others. More than that, I nurture and bolster a “can-do” attitude to all. I also write features in many articles, podcasts, radio, and TV.
As I mentioned before, born of a unique and totally random occurrence, I suffered a massive stroke on my right side in 1991 when I was 27 years old. More than that, I acquired aphasia, a language disorder that affects my ability to communicate, both written and verbal.
Trust me, after ten days in a coma, I couldn’t walk, talk, read or write. Certainly now, after years of speech therapists and personal progress, well, what can we say! As we go forward, as you can probably imagine, I am still going to make mistakes, errors or be a little bit vague from time to time without even knowing; alas.
It keeps things lively, wouldn’t you say?!
I graduated from the University of Chicago in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. I went on to earn my Master of Business Administration from Emory University in 1989. While at Emory, I was one of three students awarded the Robert W. Woodruff Fellowship and was the recipient of the Gordon Siefkin Outstanding Achievement Award.
After over twenty-eight years as a management consultant, insurance agent and sales professional, I pursued more passionate objectives cultivating my blog, Unmistakably Herb. I also engage in various committees, volunteering experience, and local charities, I am always involved in the community.
